Hire Wedding Bands, DJs & Ceremony Musicians
Your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception each call for a different sound. We find the musicians who fit all three, confirm they are available on your date, and negotiate the fee and contract so you are not doing it alone between florist and caterer calls.
What we handle for your wedding
- Ceremony music: processional, signing and recessional, including custom learns
- Cocktail hour sets from string, jazz or acoustic ensembles
- Reception bands and DJs with MC services and timeline coordination
- Sound for outdoor ceremonies, vineyards and venues with decibel limits
- Contract terms covering overtime, meals, breaks and weather plans
Planning tips
Book 9 to 14 months out for peak season
May through October Saturdays go first, especially in wine country and the Sierra foothills. Fridays and Sundays often come with lower rates and better availability.
Ask your venue about sound limits early
Many vineyards and historic venues cap volume or require music to end by a set time. Knowing this before you book decides whether a full band or a DJ-plus-musician hybrid is the better fit.
Budget for the full day, not just the reception
Ceremony and cocktail coverage from the same act is usually cheaper than booking separate musicians, and it saves on setup and travel fees.

Weddings: common questions
How much does a wedding band cost?
Every band sets its own rate, and it changes with band size, date, hours and travel, so we don't publish prices. Reach out with your date and the sound you want. We'll get quotes from bands that fit and negotiate the best rate for you.
Can the same musicians play the ceremony and the reception?
Often, yes. Many bands offer a duo or trio breakout for the ceremony and cocktail hour. We negotiate this as a package so you are not paying two setup and travel fees.
Will the band learn our first dance song?
Most bands will learn one or two special songs with enough notice. Some charge a small learn fee. We write it into the contract so there are no surprises.
